**Job Purpose**
- To lead a team, to monitor and drive production giving equal focus to safety, quality, cost, operations and people as well as having overall responsibility for staffing and performance management

**Key Accountabilities**
- 1. Actively engage individuals and teams in the Safety First culture, managing people effectively
- through robust leadership skills.
- 2. To drive product quality through all systems available and people
- 3. Ensure that development and training needs of individuals are consistently applied to create a
- proactive environment of learning.
- 4. To actively encourage individuals and teams to continuously challenge and improve
- manufacturing processes.
- 5. To lead and facilitate individuals and teams to deliver optimal levels of performance on cost,
- resource and service requirements.
- 6. Ensure compliance to all Company Health & Safety and GMP standards at all times, always
- Working in a health and safety conscious manner and aware of any issues that may arise
- From your own actions.
- 7. To supervise and manage agreed budgets and capital expenditure specific to your area
- of control.
- 8. To Ensure accurate control of all finished goods, raw materials and packaging, ensuring
- total traceability of product.
- 9. Maintain standards so that your area is audit ready at any given time.
- 10. Liaise with planning to ensure we meet customer demand.
- 11. Support and deputise for factory manager when required.
- 12. Using training matrix data to achieve job rotation and ensure multi skilling.
- 13. Be aware of our responsibility to the environment and ensure working practices demonstrate
- Karro’s core ethics with regard to environment
- 14. Manage disciplinary and grievances in line with company procedures
- 15. Effective Management of allergens as well as critical control points in the factory

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Experience within FMCG environment with proven leadership, coaching and management experience and be able to demonstrate people and performance experience - Desirable
- Working within a food manufacturing environment - Desirable
- Knowledge of GMP - Essential
- Knowledge of HACCP level 2 standard - Essential
- Knowledge of Hygiene standards - Essential
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards - Essential
