The Student Experience Team Leader is a key senior administrator position within the School of Dentistry. As Student Experience Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the administrative systems, staff, and activities, providing excellence in student experience in the School. The Team Leader role requires a highly competent user of the University¿s administrative computer systems, in particular Banner and TULIP. You will be reporting primarily to the Head of Operations for the Institute of Life Course and Medical Sciences

You will have line management responsibility for a team of administrative staff; a proportion of time will be spent organising and motivating staff, overseeing the completion of work packages and delegating work to other team members, commensurate with their grade. Day-to-day work will be complex and involve cases that may require interpretation of University/local procedural and policy guidelines and the ability to present such information in a clear and concise way to a variety of audiences. You will have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of policies, regulations and ordinances, and an understanding of the implications of making decisions based on these guidelines.

Working in partnership with senior leaders in the School and Institute you will establish operational and strategic goals for the delivery of professional services; and maintain an extensive network of contacts, internal and external to the University and act as an interface between academic staff in the School and senior colleagues in Central Professional Services Teams.

You will provide an important point of contact to users of the section¿s services, ensuring the team and School present a positive image to users, ensuring that opening hours, telephone arrangements, etc. fit in with user requirements and are able to anticipates consequences of future change and developments.

You will be expected to contributes to Business Process Improvement initiatives; review and revision of local policies and processes and shares best practice with Schools across the Faculty and central departments to ensure optimum efficiency and a consistent approach.
