Children's Support Worker in Hemsworth, flexible hours and competitive salary. CHILDREN'S RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER Previous experience of working with Children & Young People is essential. We are looking for an outstanding Residential Support Workersto work within the Children's Residential sector. All of the residential settings we work with endeavour to create a home environment that exceed the needs of children and young people. You should be passionate for children's and young people's well beingand have a caring and patient nature towards all of the children and young people that you support. You will be working within our clients Children's Homes in Hemsworth / West Yorkshire & surrounding areas for children and young people of mixed gender agedbetween 8 - 18 years some of who may have a Complex Needs diagnosis such as EBD, ADHD, Autistic spectrum disorder, OCD, conduct disorder and Challenging Behaviour and/or physical disabilities, learning disabilities and other emotional or social needs. Workingas a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for: Supporting children and young people - focusing on their education, behaviour and physical and mental well-being in order to achieve a positive outcome. You must be willing to go above and beyondfor the children and young people - ensuring that they have an experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood. Supporting young people to attend appointments, trying to help them back into the community, helping withschoolwork, and assisting with any other outdoor activities. Enabling young people to express their characters, feel safe and enrich their lives through positive behaviours and planned activities. You will be confident with report writing and able to completea thorough handover to the rest of the team and management regarding the individual concerned in a positive, structured and professional manner. Wewill offer you consistent work in a variety of fantastic settings, so you decide when you work, and how much you work.What you'll need to succeed: We have many opportunities available, early / late / long days and night shifts that can work around your lifestyle.It would be great if you held an NVQ level 2 in Health and Social care (not essential) or equivalent, however, if you have good experience working in a Support Worker capacity then we would love to hear from you.
