**Role Title**:Social Media Executive**

**Reporting to**:Digital Marketing Manager**

**Purpose of the role**:

- Manage and deliver the brand social media campaigns across all channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Linkedin in line with the marketing campaign calendar.
- Drive revenue and brand awareness through paid advertising through all social media channels.
- The brand guardian for all social media channels including local hotel accounts.
- Engage with local influencers and brand ambassadors.
- Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure all social media plans fully support our overall digital marketing strategy and wider commercial objectives.
- Demonstrate a passion for all things social media, proactively recommending new and innovative ways Village Hotels can continue to take advantage of existing and any new social platforms for continued brand reach and growth.

**Key Accountabilities**:
Plan and implement all marketing tasks relating to social media marketing - including, but not limited to the below:

- Working closely with our Brand Manager to create social media campaigns and content for all social media channels in line with the core Marketing Campaign calendar including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Linkedin.
- Be the brand guardian and provide best practice information for the individual hotel teams to ensure all content is approved.
- Engage with local influencers and brand ambassadors on all social media channels.
- Create and deliver best practice training to our contact centre for complaints handling on Social Media
- Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to deliver paid social media campaigns and manage the budget effectively.
- Create and upload blogs to the brand website and social channels.

**Required Skills/Qualifications**
- 1/2 years+ experience in ‘hands on’ social media marketing role, with responsibility for creating and delivering successful social media campaigns.
- Experience in management of a paid media budget on social media.
- Experience of working with Hootsuite (or similar system).
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Clear understanding of complaints management on Social Media.
- Qualifications in marketing, communications, English advantageous, but not essential.
- Previous experience in fast moving, multi-channel environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise, to ensure multiple deadlines are met at any given time.
- Strong team player, with a ‘can do’ attitude and an enthusiastic personality.
