**Responsible Individual Consultant - Children's Residential Services**
**Location**: Remote (with travel across the Midlands)
**Salary**: £55,000 - £65,000 per year (including bonus)
**Contract**: Full-time | Permanent
**Schedule**: Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced leader in children’s residential care with a passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people?
We are seeking a **Responsible Individual Consultant** to provide strategic leadership and ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, and care across multiple children’s homes in the Midlands.
What You’ll Do
- Take accountability for the quality, compliance, and performance of several children’s homes.
- Support and guide Registered Managers to deliver safe, effective, and child-centred care.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
- Lead on safeguarding, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare for and oversee Ofsted inspections, achieving consistent Good or Outstanding outcomes.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively to ensure operational excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies.
- Drive staff training, development, and performance to create motivated, high-performing teams.
About You
- Proven senior leadership experience within children’s residential services.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding, and care legislation.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent / willingness to achieve).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate about safeguarding and improving the lives of children and young people.
- Confident in managing budgets, compliance, and operational delivery.
- Full UK driving licence (required).
