Night Coordinator

Join the team at Badby Park Neurological Care Centre as a part time Night Co-ordinator working 2 nights per week (21.5 hours) ensuring the safe and appropriate management of the site throughout the night-time delivery of care.

In this role as Night Co-ordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the hospital at night, providing leadership and support to the nursing teams and clinical supervision. You will ensure that a high standard of care is provided to service users andthat the site complies with all quality standards and statutory requirements throughout the night shift.

You will be supported in your role by senior management on-call, individual Service Leads and the Senior Management Team.

**Your responsibilities as Night Co-ordinator will include**:

- Contributing to the development of the staff team working during night shifts by providing planned and unplanned Clinical Supervision sessions/de-briefs after incidents and ongoing monitoring with support from the Service Leads.
- Provide clinical leadership, coaching and mentoring for the development of staff (including mandatory and statutory training)
- Maintain excellence through clinical practice development & quality improvement
- Monitoring and improvement of medicines management practice at night
- Being responsible for a planned programme of support across your area of focus as determined by the annual plan for Quality and Compliance
- Being a highly-visible role model, leader, and Senior Member of the Team
- Experienced in managing staffing allocation safely
- Passionate about promoting the highest standards of care

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Experience of working as a Senior Staff Nurse or equivalent role
- Post-registration experience, ideally working in more than one clinical area provided at the hospital
- Good working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act
- To be responsive and flexible
- To be able to lead the hospital at night and ensure the principals of safe delivery are always adhered to
