Outreach & Administration Assistant - Hybrid Working

Accountable to the Assist Team Manager, you will be responsible for travelling to multiple NHS sites to identify patients in need of support and then referring them into Auriga’s Assist advice services. You will work with, support, assist and refer people ofall ages and abilities in order to improve their financial situation and wellbeing.
As an Outreach & Administration Assistant at Auriga, you will:
- Work with and support vulnerable people of all ages and abilities to try to maximise their income and improve their financial circumstances and wellbeing. You will establish a relationship based on trust to ensure you provide the necessary support and assistance.
- Be responsible for obtaining and controlling the referrals of dialysis patients into the Auriga Assist service, alongside NHS staff.
- Develop and manage assessments with clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to allow clients to explain their problem(s).
- Travel off site to attend dialysis units and hospitals to identify patients in need of advice and support, and to refer into the Assist service.
- Enter data and accurately recording all information taken from a variety of referral pathways onto our case management system.
- Receive and handle telephone calls from customers and other external contacts, handling or transferring them to the appropriate adviser with complete and precise information, swiftly and with excellent customer service.
- Print, scan, file, save and upload documents electronically.
- Work with colleagues, stakeholders and health and social care professionals to evaluate caseload needs and the progress that has been made.
At Auriga, we are looking for an Outreach & Administration Assistant who has the following skills and experiences:
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent by experience)
- Be required to hold an enhanced disclosure barring certificate
- Have a full and clean UK Driving licence and access to a car
- Previous experience as a Customer Service Adviser or Customer Service Assistant.
- Empathy and compassion based on life skills with a genuine understanding of vulnerable people in financial crisis or hardship.
- Adaptable interpersonal skills both in formal and informal situations
- High level written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to monitor and maintain own performance targets
- Ability to work under pressure to plan and manage own caseload and service levels
- Focused on outcomes without compromising on quality

This is a part-time role, working 18.75 hours per week. FTE are £19,500 + expenses.
