The Modern Foreign Languages team at Pearson produces resources for Secondary-age students and their teachers across a number of languages, but predominantly French, Spanish and German. Responsible for market-leading courses such as Dynamo, Studio, Viva, Stimmt, Expo, Metro and Mira, this is an opportunity to join the industry’s most successful languages team as a Senior Content and Learning Specialist.
**About the role**
You will be part of a friendly and high-performing team, working closely with and supported by MFL Product Managers and Content and Learning Specialists. This role will carry out tasks and activities such as:
- Thinking creatively about how to best develop our content.
- Working hands on to brief freelancers, authors and suppliers to ensure they manage, edit and proofread materials to meet the needs of learners and teachers.
- Attending and leading author workshops and managing author relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality manuscript.
- Working with colleagues and suppliers to create, challenge and improve team workflows and author writing processes.
- Creating and maintaining relationships with schools and students to facilitate the testing and development of our products and services.
- Assisting the MFL Product Managers to carry out market research and contributing to the development of new business cases.
This role can be based in either our Oxford, London or Hellaby offices with opportunities for hybrid working.
**We are looking for people who display a range of these strengths and behaviors**:
- A-level, degree level or native speaker Spanish or French, and ideally a second language (also to A-level, degree level or native speaker) from French, Spanish or German.
- Strong editorial skills and experience are critical, including experience of developing digital content.
- Enjoys working with a close team to develop exciting new digital and print resources as well as a willingness to take responsibility and work autonomously on their given area.
- Proven organizational, problem-solving and project management skills.
- A keen interest in and aptitude for technology, including using digital tools, interpreting data and devising technology-led solutions.
