Job Introduction
**Female Support Worker - Part Time**
**Pay rate**: £14.18 per hour
**Shift Pattern**:24 hours per week
- 7:00am - 3:00pm
- 3:00pm - 10:00pm
- 10:00pm - 7:00am (Waking Night)
- 10:00am - 6:00pm

Are you looking for a truly rewarding role where you can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life? We’re seeking an empathetic, patient, and proactive **Support Worker** to join a dedicated care team providing **2:1 support** for an individual with complex needs living in their family home in **Bramley, Rotherham**.

You’ll be supporting a **gentle, creative individual** living with multiple complex health conditions, including:

- Severe learning disabilities
- Rett syndrome (a genetic disorder causing severe impairments)
- Hydrocephalus
- Autism
- Sleep apnoea
- Scoliosis
- GORD (reflux disorder)
- Dysphagia _(full training provided)_

They enjoy a range of enriching and sensory-based activities like Crafting, playing musical instruments and listening to music, Baking, Watching DVDs - especially musicals and Sensory play.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Deliver **personal care** with dignity and respect
- Engage in **meaningful activities** based on their preferences
- Follow **manual handling procedures**:

- Use a person-centred, **PBS-informed approach** to support behaviour and wellbeing
- ** Monitor their sleep apnoea** during the night (they do not use a CPAP machine, so require **repositioning** throughout the night for safety and comfort)
- Support with **nutrition and dysphagia needs** (training provided)

**Who We’re Looking For**
- Experience with challenging behaviours
- Experience with Learning disabilities and Autism
- A team player who understands the importance of communication and consistency
- Comfortable with pets and able to help maintain a positive home environment
- Flexible to work as part of a 2:1 team when needed
