The role is working within our Credit Contractor division, supporting collections/ onboarding/ credit control duties
**Administering legal cases as well as supporting the credit control department in an administrative capacity. Legal and Collections Administration**
**Tasks**
- Setting up new client accounts
- Credit checking new clients
- Producing suite of credit control reports to management team and credit control team
- Chasing and printing remittances
- Raising credit notes
- Issuing copy invoices
- Assisting departmental Manager and Coordinator with any ad hoc administrative tasks
- Liaise with Payroll Department to help resolve any queries and disputes
- Assist with answering the telephone and dealing with general credit control queries
- Post handling
- Sending weekly chase letters for overdue payments
- Sending out statements to clients
- Daily logging cash/distributing bank list
- Reviewing Suspense account daily
- Reviewing unallocated cash account daily
- Dealing with Invoice queries promptly and professionally
- Scanning and indexing correspondence and saving on internal database
- Cash and bank reconciliations
- Assisting members of credit control team and staff throughout the company with overflow work whenever possible.
- Overseeing and actioning legal cases from issuing the claims up to the hearing stage.
**Relationships and Roles**:
Working as a team within the credit control department to achieve timely completion of tasks.
- Working with our clients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Working with other departments being helpful and friendly at all times.
**Education/Experience**:
- Administration experience in a busy environment is an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
**Key Competencies**:
- Attention to detail
- Accurate filing of paperwork/softcopies for audit purposes
- Working to tight timescales
- Work on own initiative
- Full ownership and finishing of tasks Desired skills but not essential
- Basic knowledge of Excel and Word
- Basic knowledge of Outlook
