Locality Family Support Worker
**About the role**
This is an exciting opportunity for practitioners experienced in providing family support and parenting interventions to children between the ages of 0- 19 years to join the Early Help Team across North Cornwall localities as Family Workers providing specific interventions for children, young people and their families.
In the Early Help Team you will work under the direction of the Early Help Co-ordinator completing Early Help Assessments and developing Early Help Plans that will ensure effective co-ordination of support for children, young people and their families, linking to Family Hubs and other services where appropriate.
You will deliver an inclusive range of group and direct work interventions to children and their parents to offer support, advice and guidance. Core to our work is listening to the child’s voice, and focusing on the journey of the child, making it clear that it is a priority for us to understand how the children we work for think and feel, and showing that this makes a difference to what we do.
We have 3 positions available - 2 full time (37 hours) and 1 part time (25.9 hours), based in Launceston and Bodmin.
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
Whilst the location/work-base for this role may have been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.
We are happy to talk about flexible working options such as part-time or compressed hours. More examples of our flexible working opportunities can be found here - flexible working options.
**About you**
You will be level three trained with a qualification relevant to work with children and families.
**About us**
Fairness and inclusion are at the heart of our vision for Cornwall. In order to best serve our communities, we are striving to achieve a diverse workforce that is inclusive of all backgrounds, cultures and identities; e.g. race, disability, sex, gender, age, religion and sexual orientation. We are an equal opportunities and Disability Confident employer, and we will assess applicants on their merits.

It’s a vital part of creating a safe and positive environment and making a commitment to keeping all service users safe from harm.
