**Technical Author**

Our client, known locally as an employer of choice, are in search of an experienced **Technical Author** to join their established team in Tyrone.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Using SolidWorks to extract images from 3D models
- Creating technical files for engineers
- Creating manuals and parts books for customers and updating when necessary
- Creating and updating engineer processing files
- Liaising with other departments within the company when and as necessary
- Using software to produce accurate, safety conscious and user-friendly drawings and operator instructions
- Responsible for ensuring the technical department is kept up to date with all relevant national and international compliance standards
- Ensure drawings are accurate and that design files are accurate and up to date
- Ensure technical compliance with all current and future statutory obligations, industry and international standards and country specific specifications
- Relevant engineering qualification/degree with previous experience in a similar role Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to deliver high quality documentation
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
