Service Care Solutions currently have a vacancy for a Gardener and Grounds Keeper based in Plymouth
The main responsibilities will include
Grass cutting, Tree planting/watering/maintenance, pathway cutbacks, litter picking and basic handyman tasks.
- A full driving licence as you will be expected to drive vans no bigger than 3.5 tonne as per your personal license allows.
- Previous experience of driving 3.5Tonne vans and towing trailers would be an advantage but not essential.
- A reasonable level of fitness to ensure tasks are completed in time
- Able to read and understand important H&S information given via risk assessments, toolbox talks and SWOPS therefore good literacy skills are essential.
- Experience of working within a garden maintenance or similar role.
- Tasks will include but not limited to hedge cutting, strimming, leaf blowing, usage of large pedestrian mowers and litter picking.
**For this role, you must have**
- Be physically fit and able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Have an understanding of the importance of health and safety and the ability to work safely.
- Have the ability to create a really good impression on our customers and enhance the reputation of the Council
- Have the ability to work as part of a team and to work flexibly to achieve the high standards we set for our services.
- Be able to work early, late or at weekends as required.
