We have an exciting opportunity to join #TeamEMR as a Station Fitter based at London St Pancras station.

**About the role**

You will be an important part of the Fleet Production team based at St Pancras station, performing mechanical and electrical fault finding and maintenance on EMR rolling stock both at the station and out on the local network.

In this role you will:

- Attend in service mechanical and electrical train faults and failures to perform fault finding and rectification and assist with vehicle recovery where necessary
- Carry out technical audits and inspections as directed
- Feedback findings from failures and technical audits to Maintenance Control to allow Depot rectification of defects
- Travel on train to provide technical cover where required
- Carry out train preparation and service check duties
- Work closely with the Station Team, Drivers and Train Crew to ensure train faults are fully understood and rectified
- Provide an excellent service to customers at the station if approached and assist the Station Team where required

Please note this role will be on a shift working basis, typically ranging from 0600-2230 and will include weekend working.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will be:

- An apprentice-trained, multiskilled engineering technician with practical experience of mechanical and electrical fault finding and maintenance
- Able to work alone and under pressure to deliver solutions whilst maintaining the highest safety standards
- Dedicated to delivering excellent service through efficient and effective rectification of defects and faults
- Able to work closely and communicate well with the Stations and On Train teams and our customers

Previous experience of rolling stock maintenance is beneficial but not essential to the role.
