My client is a leading Banbury-based consultancy providing a variety of products and services to clients in the UK and overseas. They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team to help with their continued growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a new team member to make an instant and lasting impact on the business, with progression absolutely on the cards for the right person.

You must have significant sales experience and be driven by success. You don’t need to have an in-depth knowledge of their sector but you must understand the needs of clients who are procuring online software packages as well as technical and consultancyservices.

**The Client**

Their history stretches back nearly two decades with a team that has specialised in research and analysis and provide advice and guidance to local authorities, police forces, transport authorities, governments and the World Bank and World Health Organisation.Their heritage has been creating data analysis software which is accessed by clients across Great Britain. Their online software portfolio has grown significantly in recent years and there is an enormous opportunity to increase sales with their highly-engagedcontacts. **About the role**

This dedicated Business Development Manager role will be responsible for leading on the delivery of their sales strategy, working alongside the Marketing Manager to achieve company growth in line with targets. You will report directly to the CEO who is leadingon strategic development - your role will focus on the following typical activities:

- Prospect and generate leads in new and existing clients
- Manage the sales pipeline through to closure, reporting to the Finance Director on targets
- Provide excellent support for existing clients, processing renewals and introducing new products and services
- Identify key sector opportunities and implement sales initiatives with the support of Marketing
- Coordinate and deliver sales promotions to our engaged clients
- Manage the product portfolio, keeping 'productmasters’ up-to-date with features, benefits, and customer testimonials
- Provide sales reports to our Executive Team

**About You**:
Naturally we expect you to be self-motivated and used to working on your own with large amounts of autonomy over your daily tasks. You should be confident at dealing with people at all levels, with previous experience of operating at senior level a realadvantage. You will be supported in the sales role by many other team members but we’d expect you to be a great learner with the ability to soak up our extensive sector knowledge and experience. It almost goes without saying that you will be highly-organisedand driven by the client’s CRM.
