**Vibrance** has an exciting opportunity for a **Support Worker** to join our teamin **Colchester**. You will join us on a **full-time or part-time basis,** and in return, you will receive a **competitive salary** plus benefits.
As our **Support Worker,**you will act as a key worker to provide an individualised programme and emotional support to service users who have learning and physical disabilities, to become an active member of the home and within the local community,by ensuring that individual programmes of support are planned, executed and monitored, so that a high quality of service is provided.
You will work as a member of the staff team and assist in the management, planning, and development of all services within the home. This role requires you to be flexible as weekends and nights are part of the rota where necessary.
**Responsibilities as our Support Worker will include**:
- Undertaking work as reasonably requested by the Project Manager/Deputy Project Manager
- Be responsible for team and service user’s money, good recording practice and safekeeping, whenever on duty, both inside and outside of the project
- Taking responsibility for the building any reporting any faults/dangers
- Providing cover for colleagues as directed by your manager
- Supporting the individual to achieve the optimum of independence in daily living skills, such as cooking and cleaning
- Providing better health for service users through encouraging exercise, diet etc
**Skills and experience of our ideal Support Worker**:
- Experience with learning /physical disabilities or similar
- Experience of participating as part of a team
- Experience of providing care and/or support to disabled
- _Effective communication skills in written and spoken English_
- Ability to follow instructions
- Willingness/desire to develop
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure Certificate from DBS
