Part Time 3 days per week.

**Summary of main purpose of the job**:
Development and delivery of school's mission across West Midlands.

Interfacing with Message Mission Teams and other approved partners. Delivery of Respect Me provision across region.

Co-ordinated approach with Message Bus.

Recruitment and development of volunteers / session workers to further school's mission delivery.

Involved in supporting the delivery of other mission to young people / schools across the region and support all creative mission expansion in line with West Midlands Hub Leader.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:
**General Duties**:
Support delivery of mission to schools

Take meetings and progress the work of Schools Mission where needed

Identify potential funding sources. Seek personal support and other contributions to the ministry

Enter fully into The Message Trust team life, including hub team days, and prayer days as agreed with Hub leader.

**Message in Schools**:
Develop working relationships with schools, churches, and other bodies to ensure an effective schools ministry is established, developed and maintained

Assist Message Bus manager in creating, maintaining and developing schools-based content for Message Bus in schools.

Model and outwork culture of innovation in Message mission to schools.

Produce reports/resources as needed across all areas of Schools Mission

**Respect Me**:
Lead on Respect Me project in the region. Interface with hub leadership and national RM leadership.

Mission delivery in line with Hub mission strategy (3-year strategy for mission focus areas)

Grow a team of volunteers / session workers to increase RM capacity regionally.

Understand and own budget implications, agree strategy for growth and goals with Hub leader and develop delivery to meet these goals.

**Youth Advance (1 day per week - includes Saturdays/Evening work)**:
Run “The Gathering’ events, once per month in term times (9x Saturdays)

Develop mission Christian Unions in schools through monthly coaching sessions

Bring a team to the annual ‘The Scattering’ mission in London.

**Mission support**:
Support the delivery of School Mission across the region

Support team and volunteers around events

Assist in the organisation, management and running of events where necessary

Visit locations / meetings / events where needed

**Bookings** process and national school's network**:
Work alongside Hub Ops Manager on bookings admin and operations to ensure external bookings happen in a professional manner

Oversee external communication with potential bookings and partners

**Communication**:
Written communication to supporters and general enquiries that relate directly to schools mission

**West Midlands Hub**:
When needed, support the West Midlands Hub with leadership support, mission, operational and event needs that may arise.

Make use of Hub resources to deliver joined up mission across region and nationally. i.e. Raisers Edge NXT / Team Gannt / Microsoft Teams / etc

Report monthly statistics/stories on Schools Mission to be fed into UK leadership report by hub leader

**Person specification**:
**Essential**:
Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written) that can share vision and deliver excellent curriculum in schools, churches and other settings

Understanding of how schools work and current curriculum requirements

Able to be flexible around working times and out of hours contacts

Ability to see “the big picture” between different areas of activity within the organisation and join up when necessary

Discreet in dealing with confidential and / or sensitive information

Confident and empathic. Excellent relational skills

Attention to detail

High level of strategic and analytical skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs

Professional attitude and appearance

Ability to drive with own transport

All Message staff are set a personal fundraising target. We ask that the successful applicant
