**Job Type**:Temporary (3-month contract)
**Working Hours**:Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:15 PM (36 hours per week)

**Summary**
Our organization is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Independent Living Officer to join our team in Waltham. As an Independent Living Officer, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to vulnerable adults and children, assisting them with benefits, and ensuring their tenancy agreements are well-managed.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Supporting Vulnerable Adults and Children**: Work closely with vulnerable individuals, including adults and children, to assess their needs and develop individualized care plans to improve their quality of life.
- ** Benefits Assistance**: Guide and support clients through the process of accessing and managing appropriate benefits, ensuring they receive the necessary financial assistance.
- ** Tenancy Agreements**: Help clients understand and manage their tenancy agreements, including providing guidance on rights and responsibilities as tenants.
- ** Documentation**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions with clients.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with vulnerable adults and/or children is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of benefits systems and procedures, as well as familiarity with tenancy agreements, will be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach when dealing with sensitive issues.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage caseload effectively.
