Job Description: Retail Security Officer (Retail - Static - Commercial Sites)

**Job Type**: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Within a 5-15-mile radius (travel may be required)

Work Location: On-site (in person)

Schedule:

- Weekdays
- Weekends
- Days and Nights (rotational or as scheduled)

**Job Description**:
Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain a visible, professional security presence at designated retail/commercial sites
- Control access to premises and monitor customer/staff entry and exit
- Prevent and deter theft, vandalism, or anti-social behaviour through effective patrols and surveillance
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents, alarms, or emergencies
- Provide a safe and secure environment for staff and the public
- Carry out regular internal and external patrols
- Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports
- Liaise with site management, emergency services, and control room when necessary
- Enforce site rules and policies in a fair and consistent manner
- Ensure all duties are carried out in line with BS 7858 standards

**Requirements**:

- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong observational and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Smart, presentable appearance and professional attitude
- Willingness to travel within a 5-15-mile radius as required
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends

Desirable:

- Previous experience in retail or static security roles
- First Aid certificate (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and radio communication
