**About the Role**
**What’s the opportunity?**
We are recruiting for a Compliance Monitoring Officer who will contribute to the delivery of the compliance monitoring plan through completion of risk based compliance monitoring review work. The right person for the job must be able to understand fair customer outcomes, produce comprehensive findings, effectively manage stakeholders and deliver factually accurate compliance monitoring reports.**In your day to day role as a Compliance Monitoring Officer you will**:
Lead and execute independent risk-based compliance monitoring activity by:
- Using the relevant systems, policies and call recording facilities to make desktop assessments of the fairness of outcomes received by PFG customers and the standard of regulatory compliance;
- Assessing adherence to documented policy, controls and processes and articulating of the materiality and impacts of any risks identified.
- Assess findings based on materiality, likelihood of customer detriment and adherence to compliance requirements.
- Plan and organise workload to maintain a high standard of accuracy of allocated work.
- Assist the development of new and ongoing oversight requirements by supporting the research and development of the compliance monitoring plan.
- Maintaining an awareness of the compliance horizon and the impacts this can have on PFG customers and its business.
**Skills & Experience**
**What you will bring to the team**:
- Previous Compliance Monitoring, Internal Audit or Quality Assurance experience within a FCA regulated business.
- Able to overcome objections and influence positive outcomes with resilience in the face of challenge from senior stakeholders.
- Ability to identify process improvements and recommendations that realistically and effectively address the risk posed by issues identified.
- Ability to use initiative when concluding on testing results.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including ability to provide meaningful feedback.
- Ability to work independently and pro-actively take ownership for own workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to motivate others.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work with peers and senior colleagues from the Group Risk and Compliance Functions to contribute and develop the risk aware culture of the business.
**Good understanding of**:
- Conduct risk and the impact this has on customer outcomes:
- Regulatory risk and the compliance landscape of a dual regulated bank in the UK
- Relevant FCA Handbooks (i.e. SYSC, CONC, BCOBs, DISP) and
- Relevant PRA regulation.
