**Main duties of the job**:
We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated individual who can work as part of a team and as an individual. The post holder will support improvement in Lower GI suspected cancer pathways through the facilitation and coordination of FIT results which is now an essential element within this pathway.
Tasks will include monitoring referrals and whether FIT tests have been requested via the GP, mailing out FIT kits where necessary, and contacting patients to urgently return their FIT samples. The role will include gathering data on FIT utilisation and providing the necessary information for real time feedback to primary care and locality commissioning teams.
There are two positions available on a 12 months fixed term/secondment basis. One of these posts will supporting Oldham Care Organisation and one will be to Support North Manchester Care Organisation. The North Manchester poster holder will move to MFT at some point during the 12 month position. Cancer Services are currently working both on site and remotely but this could change at any given point.

- Recognised educational standards, i.e. GCSE ‘O’ Level Grade A-C or equivalent in English Language
- ECDL/Clait or relevant experience
**Desirable criteria**:
- RSA typing or equivalent or demonstrable keyboard skills
**Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:
- Experience of working as part of a team and in isolation
- Positive attitude towards change and its implementation
- Experience of data inputting and quality assurance of data
- Experience in customer/ patient services.
**Desirable criteria**:
- Relevant experience of working within an acute healthcare setting
- Working within a multidisciplinary team
**Skills/Knowledge**:
**Essential criteria**:
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients colleagues, clinicians and managers both internal and external to the Trust
- Ability to work on own initiative and as an effective and responsible team member
- Understanding of the National and Local Cancer Targets.
**Desirable criteria**:
- Experience in using a database
- Demonstrate ability to use a NHS Patient Administration System

- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in working hours including out of office core working hours
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
