**About The Job**
As a Support Worker at our St. Piers College, you must be passionate about making a genuine difference to the young people we support and putting them at the heart of everything we do.
Day-to-day, your role will include
- Working as part of a holistic team who put young people at the heart of everything we do.
- Enabling students to access learning, using needs-specific, personalised approaches, both with 1:1 and group learning activities.
- Encouraging independence among the young people you support.
- Contributing to individual student records and reports, in consultation with the class Teacher and specialist staff.
- Attending and contributing to classroom, curriculum, staff, and other vital meetings.
- Completing administration work that supports the smooth running of the School and College.
- Promoting high standards of hygiene and welfare for students within class.

St Piers School sits in the Education Directorate of Young Epilepsy, the leading national charity working exclusively to improve the lives of children and young people with epilepsy and/or associated conditions.
We are a non-maintained residential special school for 5-19-year-olds, and we are an innovative and creative School for children with SEND, and a large percentage of our cohort have Epilepsy, autism, and severe learning difficulties, along with communication difficulties.
The school provides a variety of interactive and inclusive environments, both indoors and outdoors, which support the pursuit of ambitions and aspirations through a whole range of exciting and creative spaces. All children are put at the heart of the learning experience, through providing an environment where everyone can make progress and gain new skills.
The school is ‘Good’ [Ofsted 2017], a Centre of Excellence [IQM] for inclusion and is a member of Challenge Partners [Quality Assurance Review (2019) judged ‘outstanding’].

**Shift Patterns**
The following shift patterns are available across our school and college:
- Full-time (33hours) - 9am - 4pm
- Part-Time (20hours) - 9am to 1pm
- Part-time (15hours) - 1pm to 4pm
