Great Bear is a leading 3rd party UK logistics business providing nationwide dedicated and shared user warehousing and distribution solutions for international blue chip clients.
We operate in excess of 9 million sq. ft. of warehousing and operate a large modern commercial vehicle fleet, coupled with an extensive added value service offering.

We are currently recruiter for an Allocator to join us at our Dagenham site.

Shift Patterns Available:

- 4 on 4 off - Rotating Days / Nights
- Any 5 in 7

The Allocator is responsible for monitoring all Stock movements within the warehouse. Setting up and running orders in line with the shift plan and to meet scheduled dispatch times. Working closely with the warehouse FLM's to effectively manage resourceand ensure that the flow of work is continuous to maximise efficiency.

Allocator Responsibilities and Objectives
- To assist and support the warehouse operatives when required.
- To monitor and update shift plans in order to deliver regular progress updates.
- Attend work on a regular and timely basis.
- Achieve and maintain the required level of work rate.
- Being reasonably flexible in hours and duties
- Being able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Follow instructions from your FLM / Shift Manager.
- Maintain good communication with your FLM / Shift Manager. Confident to escalate issues in a timely manner.
- Pre-allocate loads (full and unit picks)
- Input pre-advises for customer inbounds
- Ensure advanced pick position is maintained in line with shift plan.
- Run orders in line with instruction and scheduled dispatch times.
- Movement of staff across work areas to maintain correct flow of activities.
- Selecting Loading / Un-loading Bay based on current operational requirements.
- Updating the Electronic Schedule and Auto-store to maintain an accurate representation of activities taking place on site.
- Carryout stock shortage investigations on picks.
- Monitor replenishments
- Compile and send reports as required.
- Control equipment allocation within area RDT/MHE Registers
- Undertake system housekeeping relevant to role

Due to the nature of the role we are looking for dependable and committed individuals. You will have great organizational skills in order to work in a pressurized and busy environment to meet deadlines. You should have a confident and effective communicationability to work on your own initiative and willingness to resolve issues in line with company procedures. You will enjoy working in a physical environment.
