Job Description of Good Oaks Team Leader

Overview of position

To support Home Carers to provide the highest level of care for clients through regular supervisions, spot-checks, performance monitoring and auditing of daily notes.

To undertake management duties such as auditing daily notes, undertaking reviews and any other tasks required by the Registered Manager

To support each client to remain living in their own homes by providing quality care that is respectful, dignified and encourages independence whilst adhering to the support plan. Document and report all relevant customer care information and report to the office any changes.

Duties and responsibilities
- To monitor the performance of your team members, including;
- Undertake care duties when needed
- Regular, unannounced spot-checks at the client’s residence
- Regular, planned supervision sessions
- Feedback collection from clients and other team members
- Auditing of daily notes and MAR Charts
- To keep morale high within your team, by;
- Identifying problems and issues early and reporting to Care Managero Conducting exit interviewso Organising events and meetings for your teamo Aiding communication between your team and the office
- To aid the Care Manager in his role, by;
- Filling out MAR Charts for your allocated clientso Collecting daily notes and bringing to the officeo Conducting service reviews as and when required by the Care Manager
- To help the training and induction of new starters, by;
- Being shadowed by them, explaining what needs doing and whyo Introducing new starters to clientso Supervising new starters, assessing their competencyo Signing new starters off as competent when appropriate
- **Expectations and Qualifications of a home care Team Leader**:

- We expect our Team leader to have a compassionate and caring approach to their duties;
- Professional with good communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Reliable and flexible;
- Willing to learn and progress with the company;
- Experience in domiciliary and residence
- Experience in a home care supervisory or equivalent capacity (desirable but not essential)
- Home care qualifications are desirable but not essential as professional and paid training will be provided.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.70-£15.20 per hour

**Experience**:

- providing care: 1 year (preferred)
- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

- Driving License (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
