Due to growth in our Environmental Services Team and across the business, Binnies are seeking to appoint two Regional Environmental Team Leaders for Chester and the South West. These roles will oversee and manage their regional teams, including resourcing and pastoral care, as well as providing strong technical leadership - both regionally and nationally.

The roles will also have a high level of responsibility in helping drive our active Environmental Community of Practice and staff development, ensuring we are at the forefront of environmental best practice and innovation. Binnies hold the IEMA EIA Quality Mark which is a benchmark of our high standards in EIA delivery.

About the Role

Providing direction and oversight of your Regional Environmental Team including management of resources and working with National Lead and HR on pastoral and performance issues.

Ensuring technical quality, consistency with current and emerging best practice and driving innovation.

Providing support to the national Environmental Services Team.

Supporting business development and tenders.

Provide key client roles.

Providing supervisor and mentor role to senior members of the environmental team.

Supporting recruitment.

Managing all stages of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) including SEA and the range of other environmental assessments and consents such as WFD, HRA, and planning. Technically you will focus on the more complex and challenging environmental projects, providing supervision and guidance.

Provide the reviewer and approver role for environmental deliverables.

Essential Requirements

The role is suitable for an experienced environmental professional with full professional membership (such as IEMA, IES or CIWEM). You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:
An environmental related degree

Chartered with a relevant institute

Technical leadership in EIA and sustainability

Thorough understanding of consenting processes (planning, HRA, WFD etc.)

Excellent written and oral communication

Proven experience in support to tendering and forming key client relationships

Demonstration of innovation and embracing advances in technology and EIA

Experienced in team supervision and experience of mentoring others through chartership

Hold a full UK driving licence.
