The team
The Digital Transformation Team within Natural England acts as the intelligent customer on behalf of Natural England, by signposting advice and guidance, representing the organisation’s interests, supporting colleagues to find technical digital solutions and helping colleagues to access the digital corporate services. We enable Natural England to make the business changes and improvements the Organisation needs to successfully deliver its mission and vision in line with its core values. For complex projects the team provides project management support or hands on technical expertise. The team also has a strategic role in developing strategic digital investment through Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR) digital bids on behalf of NE.

This role does not require experience or specific knowledge of the natural environment; however, you will need to demonstrate a desire and commitment to helping to meet our public service goals and to operate as part of a values led organisation.
In this role you will be required to work with multiple customers, across the business including external service providers and contractors. In joining a small team, you will be prepared to lead various tasks and understand project dependencies and deliverables whilst championing our mission through excellent communication and by forging strong stakeholder relationships.
**Person Specification**
We are looking for two individuals to lead, advise and deliver on change through digital transformation. We are seeking creative thinkers of a growth mindset, who have experience of working on complex, multi-stakeholder projects and change management. You must be a self-starter who is able to ‘hit the ground running’ is flexible in their thinking and approach to work and has the resilience and ability to see the bigger picture and quickly adapt to change. Ultimately an element of the unknown is an environment in which you would wish to thrive.
External relationships will be critical. You will liaise with contractors, DEFRA and DDTS colleagues and will feed into decision making and project level stakeholder engagement planning. Internal networks will be just as important, and you will be expected to provide outreach support and advice to colleagues across the Organisation.
