- Offering a wide range of specialist services, Cotswold Gynae Outpatients is a diverse and exciting place to be. Specialist teams include Advanced-Nurse led Early Pregnancy Clinic, Nurse led Colposcopy and Fertility as well as numerous regional specialty services.
- Our outpatient’s service is rapidly expanding and has recently been appointed as a mesh removal center with ambitions in the new year to expand our same day, emergency care service through the outpatient’s team.
- We are proud to be able to offer our patients a full outpatient and inpatient Gynaecology service with special emphasis on one stop outpatient services, and tertiary skills in sub-fertility, urogynaecology, endometriosis and mínimal access surgery.
- We are keen to support our nurses to develop their skills across a range of surgical/gynaecology specialties and provide skills training with early pregnancy problems up to 20 weeks. Central to the culture of our team is the belief we have to invest in developing our team to develop and retain a truly outstanding workforce.
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our team for 22.5 hours / 3 days a week (Working hours negotiable). This role will ensure smooth running of the team and department.

**THE ROLE**:
- Responsible for the day to day running of an Outpatient area with a dedicated team of Nurses.
- Overseeing all of the Outpatient areas in the role of Co-ordinator in conjunction with the Senior Sister.
- Supervision and support of staff.
- Participation in the planning, development and evaluation of services within the Outpatients team.

- Engaging in the development of the Quality Improvement standards for Outpatients.
- A role model and adopting a team leadership style that motivates and empowers staff to develop and enhance the centralised outpatient nursing team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills along with knowledge of IT systems.

- Deputise for the Senior Sister
- Support the Senior Sister and provide clinical and managerial leadership to nursing staff
- Ensure the effective running of the Outpatients department on a day-to-day basis
- Delivery and supervision of specialist nursing skills across the gynaecology outpatient’s department
- Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care needs provided by self and others in the care team.
- Provide supervision of less experienced staff or Health Care Support Workers carrying out these duties.
