At Norton Webb, we pride ourselves on giving our learners and employers an exceptional service. We are looking for an experienced professional with extensive vocational experience and experience in senior role within a residential childcare setting. If you are passionate about sharing your knowledge and supporting others in achieving their goals, we would love to hear from you. **About the Role** As a tutor, you will play a vital role in motivating and supporting learners to achieve their career goals. You will work with a caseload of learners at different levels (ranging from Level 3 to Level 5) in residential childcare settings, guiding them through apprenticeships and diplomas. Your role will involve a blend of remote working and in-person visits, requiring regular travel to learner workplaces and our head office. A full driving licence is essential. A teaching qualification is not required, but excellent communication skills are a must. You should have a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English and be confident with ICT—or willing to develop your ICT skills. What We’re Looking For Essential: - Level 5 in Leadership and Management - Maths and English to Level 2 - Experience of working at a senior level in the residential childcare sector (for example Setting Manager or Deputy) Desirable: - Assessment Qualification - TAQA, A1 or D32/33 or equivalent - Quality Assurance Qualification - Experience delivering Apprenticeship Standards **Why Make the Move?** We understand that this role may come with a lower salary than what you currently earn as a manager. However, we offer a safe, caring, and supportive work environment with significantly reduced pressure and high flexibility. This role allows you to use your experience to positively impact others while enjoying a healthier work-life balance. **Hear from Our Team**: _"After dedicating years to residential childcare and achieving my goal of becoming a registered manager, I wasn't ready to leave the sector. Norton Webb has provided the perfect opportunity to continue making a difference. I'm now able to share my knowledge and experience with other support workers and managers, ultimately helping them provide the best possible care and outcomes for the young people they support. Working at Norton Webb has given me a better work life balance and time for myself and my family while enjoying the work I do."_- Zoe Cooke, Former Residential Childcare Manager, now Tutor - “Norton Webb were actually interested not just my experience in the sector, but also what my own personal goals where, my aspirations. From there, what can I say, I will never look back and want to be a part of operation management again. Yes the salary isn’t as desirable as a RM, but what you get back in home life balance, less stress, more time with family, this is what’s important not the £ signs. No amount of salary will give you what working for Norton Webb does, as my children say we have our dad back. _ - So if you ever want a change look no further than the small, person centred company we call our family, Norton Webb. Expand and give your knowledge to our learners to support their journey.”_ - Terry Bayliss, Former Adult Care Manager, now Tutor **Key Responsibilities** - Provide tailored tutoring and support to learners, helping them achieve their chosen qualifications. - Assess learner knowledge, skills, and behaviours against Apprenticeship Standards and Diplomas through observation, discussion, and questioning. - Identify and address barriers to learning, facilitating additional learning support when needed. - Liaise regularly with workplace managers to share learner progress and enhance employer engagement. - Encourage learner retention, achievement, and progression. - Embed Maths, English, and ICT into apprenticeship programmes to support learner development. - Prepare apprentices for End-Point Assessments. - Manage your caseload efficiently, ensuring timely feedback, employer engagement, and learner support. - Monitor learner progression and engagement to maintain compliance and effective business management. - Uphold professionalism, treating all individuals with dignity and respect. - Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all. **Why join us?** We provide full training and ongoing support, from your induction to qualification content and best practices in teaching and learner - we’re with you every step of the way. If you’re not yet a qualified assessor, we’ll support you in achieving your Assessor Award. Our online platform allows learners and tutors to connect, share work, book sessions, conduct virtual meetings, and monitor progress. Become part of our team - a group that’s passionate about developing others, enjoys a good laugh, and shares a love for Yorkshire Tea If you have the right experience and the passion to inspire others, we would love to hear from you.
