Residential Fire Risk Assessor – Apollo AyurVAID (Osterna, part of RMG) Osterna, part of RMG and Places for People Group, is looking for an experienced Residential Fire Risk Assessor to join a proactive and highly successful team of Health & Safety Professionals covering an area across Leeds and surrounding areas. With a positive work/life balance, you will be home‑based when not undertaking site visits. You will typically complete up to 10 site visits a week (Monday to Friday). Although we are seeking an assessor based in the Leeds area, national travel may be required. What does the role involve? Specialising in the residential housing sector, Osterna's Residential Fire Risk Assessors carry out inspections of a range of property types including traditional residential blocks, sheltered housing, HMO and high‑rise (over 18 metres +) housing and write up reports with your findings. Completed risk assessments are used by the Property Managers and Directors of the management companies to initiate repairs or any other procedures required, to ensure the residential common areas remain a safe environment. What knowledge, skills and experience are we looking for? Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Experience undertaking fire risk assessment work within the residential property sector on high‑rise buildings NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Level 3 NEBOSH National General Certificate Experience of undertaking suitable and sufficient Health and Safety and Type 1 and Type 3 Fire Risk Assessments (HSFRA), and Compartmentation Surveys Accuracy and attention to detail within reports; comprehensive knowledge of current health and safety legislation and its application to property management Knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and supporting local government guidance and its application to our sector LaCORS experience would be great, although not essential; training will be provided What does RMG have to offer you? 27 days holiday plus all bank holidays Option to buy/sell up to 5 days annual leave each holiday year Life assurance cover Free healthcare cashback plan (including optical, dental, physiotherapy and GP charges) 24/7 access to remote GP services Sponsorship for study and professional qualifications (up to 4 study days) Pension scheme (matched up to 7%) and life assurance (4× annual salary) Access to Our Place Rewards – shopping discounts, in‑store vouchers, reloadable e‑cards, cashback on online purchases and exclusive offers What’s next?
