JOB SUMMARY

Are you a passionate and experienced yoga practitioner, eager to share the transformative benefits of yoga with adult learners? City College Peterborough is seeking a dedicated Yoga Tutor to join our esteemed team in the pursuit of promoting health, well-being, and personal growth.
As a Yoga Tutor at City College Peterborough, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing a positive and supportive learning environment for our adult learners aged 19 and above. Your expertise in yoga practices, combined with your passion for teaching, will inspire learners to embark on a journey of self-discovery and holistic development.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Delivering Engaging Classes**: Create and lead yoga classes that cater to the diverse needs and levels of our adult learners, ensuring each session is informative, engaging, and enjoyable.

**Developing Comprehensive Curriculum**: Design a well-structured and progressive yoga curriculum that covers various styles, techniques, and philosophies of yoga, enabling learners to advance in their practice.

**Fostering Wellness**: Encourage learners to explore the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of yoga, promoting overall health, relaxation, and stress reduction.

**Personalised Guidance**: Provide individualised attention and support to learners, assisting them in improving their practice and addressing any specific concerns or challenges.

**Assessing Learner Progress**: Monitor and evaluate the progress of each learner, offering constructive feedback to facilitate growth and development.

**Promoting Inclusivity**: Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment, embracing learners from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

**Requirements**:
**Yoga Expertise**: Proven experience and proficiency in various yoga styles, along with a comprehensive understanding of yoga philosophy and anatomy.

**Teaching Experience**: Previous experience as a yoga instructor, guiding learners of different levels and abilities.

**Qualifications**: Hold relevant yoga certifications and qualifications from recognized institutions.

**Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.

**Empathy and Patience**: Demonstrated compassion and patience in working with adult learners of varying backgrounds and abilities.

**Commitment to Well-being**: A passion for promoting health, mindfulness, and personal growth through the practice of yoga.
