Accounting Administrator

**Salary**: circa £30,000 (FTE) in the North and circa £35,000 (FTE) in the South
**Location**: This is a hybrid role working from home and one of our two offices. We have an office in Wakefield, Yorkshire and one in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
**Contract type**: Part time, Permanent
An opportunity to join a successful expanding International Company at an exciting stage of its development. Long Term contracts recently won in US, Europe and UK have meant that the Finance Director requires support in managing the financial controls, reporting,Commercial MI & administration for the business.
This will give you the chance to assist in the preparation of management accounts, liaison with US & Other overseas offices as well as other reporting outputs for the wider Senior Management team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain accounting records
- Reconcile balance sheet items
- Liaising with external accounting services accountants
- Prepare & check, and process journals and reference data on ledger
- Check and assist with issue sales invoices via internal automated systems /statements and monitor/chase/resolve outstanding balances
- Monitor cash movements and balances
- Ensure procedures and controls are documented, followed, reviewed, and updated
- Cash analysis and forecasts on a weekly basis
**Skills/ Experience**:
Although there are extensive requirements to the role, the degree of automation and supporting data streams within the business mean that this is envisaged as on a reduced hour basis (core hours for example 10am to 3pm).
- Part qualified accountant, or qualified by experience
- Knowledge and prior use of working with Xero (not essential as use of other like accounting platforms acceptable)
- Able to prioritise and plan to meet deadlines
- Good communicator with a committed, professional, and positive attitude
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent MS Excel/Word/Outlook skills
