**Senior Governance Manager (Operational), Remote or Hybrid working. £65,000-80,000 + excellent benefits**

Primarily responsible for leadership and management of governance activities in accordance with the requirements of the groups own internal policies and procedures and those of its regulators, as well as managing and supporting a small team providing governancesupport to the wider business.

**The role**:

- Play a key role in maintaining and improving a proactive approach to business governance, linked to business strategy and goals.
- Leading a team of 3, supporting the Head of Governance with the execution of the governance oversight framework and developing best practices.
- Assessing policy, legal, regulatory and other changes to controls that may impact the business and agreeing any action plans.
- Covering a wide range of areas including: Product, Binder, Conduct Risk, Third Parties, Financial Promotions etc.
- Supporting business units in monitoring performance against agreed KPIs, in accordance with the risk management and control frameworks.

**To apply**:

- Must have experience gained in insurance and managing a team.
- Experienced in coordinating and executing risk and compliance activity within operations.
- Commercial understanding of business and the insurance market;
- Collaborative approach, ability to operate in a matrix management environment;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing and presentations;
- Experienced in motivation, coaching and development of staff and proactive management of performance issues;
- Capable of building and maintaining relationships at senior levels of the organisation;
