Cb Controls Business Partner

As a Barclays Controls Business Partner - Corporate Banking, you will have a senior role within Barclays International first line of defence, providing extensive specialist support, coordination and oversight of the Corporate Banking Control Framework.You will be working within the Front to Back Control Business Partnering (CBP) team which supports Corporate Bank's principal Product families and their aligned Barclays Execution Transaction Cycles, both of which operate globally.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Working with stakeholders across the lines of defence to ensure that the risk profile for aligned business areas are complete, accurate and maintained
- Leading deployment of the Barclays Control Framework to ensure compliance with group standards and ensure effective oversight and governance is in place
- Maintaining detailed knowledge of the Barclays Control Framework and other relevant Policies and be able to interpret these and deliver fit for purpose training
- Undertaking targeted control interventions and advisory support where required to give independent oversight on their effective operation to ensure
- Overseeing delivery of strategy to simplify, enhance and automate controls, managing delivery of improvements to frameworks
- Assessing the impact that strategic / regulatory change and continuous improvement initiatives have upon the control environment
- Working with stakeholders in the business to ensure risks are fully understood with appropriate mitigating controls in place
- Facilitating improvements to the framework, control environment and culture through the deployment of enhancements and best practice
**What we're looking for**:

- Working knowledge of the Barclays Control Framework preferred, including the Risk Event Policy, Issues Management and Control Library and Risk and Control Assessment Standards
- Degree level qualification or equivalent, with Risk Management qualification preferred.
- Experience in continuous process and control improvement for both efficiency and exposure reasons

- Excellent written communications skills needed to supplement reporting commentary across wide range of governance reporting
- Excellent attention to detail, with good analytical skills and an ability to make sound judgements and be comfortable influencing peers, stakeholders, and other teams
- Ability to cope under pressure, managing a wide range of priorities with multiple objectives
- Ability to influence best practice at all levels and good relationship and stakeholder management skills across the organisation
