Working flexibly, you'll spend most of your time working from home, with a day a week in the office (so living close to Haywards Heath, West Sussex or Salford Quays, Manchester would be perfect). But of course, it’s your choice - if you prefer to be in the office more - that's good with us too.

**You’ll** be the perfect person for us if**:

- You've got the know-how of Principles of Risk Management
- you're knowledgeable of trends in the insurance industry and best practice in risk, compliance and corporate governance
- you have a logical and systematic approach to analysis of symptoms and causes of Risk, identifying key issues, underlying trends and interrelationships

**Job responsibilities**:

- To support the Head of Risk and Group Risk Managers in designing and implementing the overall Risk Management Framework for all entities across the Group
- To gain a detailed and practical understanding of the risk management system and train other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as appropriate
- To seek to identify system enhancements to improve functionality, working with the relevant stakeholders to implement changes in a controlled way
- To act as a Risk SME, supporting Risk and Controls reviews across the Group
- To gain a detailed understanding of the contents of the risk registers within the risk management system and update as required
- To review and monitor evidence received for controls and mitigation actions, including challenge to management on control scoring
- To develop and maintain strong relationships with Risk/Control owners and Risk/Controls SMEs across all Pillars
- To support the production of board and committee reporting
- To engage the Assurance colleagues on areas that require control reviews and evidence checking
- To assist with specific regulatory and business projects that may require Governance function input as required
- Comply with the requirements, and act in accordance with, the Group Code of Conduct and Fitness and Propriety policies at all times
- Ensure compliance with Company Policies, Values and guidelines and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times, including compliance with the Senior Managers Certification Regime (SMCR) Conduct Rules
- To administer the risk Inbox and any other reasonable duties

- Good knowledge of the principles of Risk Management
- FCA rules, regulations, principles and codes of practice
- Knowledge of trends in the insurance industry and best practice in risk, compliance and corporate governance
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Problem solving, with the ability to translate issues and find resolutions
