**Apprentice** will be supported through an 18-month apprenticeship scheme to learn how to protect and promote our external reputation with the media.**What will you do in the role?**

The Press Office Apprentice will contribute to how we shape and deliver our position across national, regional, trade, and broadcast media in both reactive and proactive circumstances.
- Through a combination of on-the-job training and workshop learning, you will receive extensive training across Public Relations and Media Relations, including:

- Current affairs, PR and the media.
- Media hospitality including press trips and press flights
- Writing for publication including press releases and statements.
- Building and executing campaigns / events.
- Communications planning.
- Issues & crisis management.
- Media relations, media liaison.
- Agency management.

**What are the key skills / experience you’ll already have?**

The
- **Press Office Apprentice** must achieve level 4 English and Maths by the time they start.
- On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain a formal qualification by achieving a Level 4 Public Relations and Communications Assistant.
