**Job Details**

You’ll lead and manage a section of the corporate Finance function focusing on delivering consistent, high quality, customer focussed service while providing professional financial management support to a designated Directorate Leadership Team.
- **Leadership and management**: Lead and manage a section of the corporate Finance function providing professional leadership and guidance.
- **Strategic influence**: Lead a centre of expertise across the Council using your insights to support and influence both strategic and operational decision making.
- **Directorate support**:Provide professional guidance to a designated Directorate to advise on critical business planning assumptions, help navigate trade-offs, identify opportunities and act as an account manager for end to end financial services.
- **Ambassador for the Finance function**:Drive delivery of finance initiatives, gaining acceptance from key stakeholders and building strong relationships.

**The Person**

- **Education**: Graduate calibre with supporting CCAB professional qualification.
- **Experience**: Extensive generalist finance knowledge and expertise across all disciplines.
- **Team Player**: Strong team player who can collaborate effectively.
- **Strategic thinker**: Experience of developing strategies and translating these into deliverable plans.
- **Consultancy and Facilitation Skills**: Able to communicate clearly, influence others and gain credibility.
- **Systems**: Proficient IT skills with the ability to optimise technology for continuous improvement.
