**Job introduction**:
Do you have experience of developing HR policies and planning and undertaking HR projects working for a large organisation? If so, you may be interested in our vacancy for a HR Policy and Projects Consultant

The current role holder has successfully secured a secondment opportunity within another part of the HR team, so we are looking for someone to cover the vacancy on a temporary basis for one year.

This role is available as a secondment to internal applicants in line with our secondment policy.

**Interview date**: Interviews will take place week commencing 23 September 2024.

**About the role**:
In this broad and varied role, you will have the opportunity to further your experience of HR policy development and use your consultation and communication skills to ensure that our HR policies and guidance are legally compliant informed by organisational priorities and best practice.

You will be supported to manage all aspects of HR project work and play a key role in the continued development of HR content on the council’s intranet site to ensure that it is easily accessible to managers and employees.

You will use your excellent HR knowledge to provide advice to HR colleagues, staff and managers on the interpretation of employment policies and terms and conditions of employment.

**Additional information**:
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining.
