**The Role**
Working with the PR & Events Manager, you will be responsible for running the day-to-day press office, launching new products to media and executing all brand events/activity across UK and Ireland. You will also have responsibility for all day-to-day press engagement, including managing day to day agency output will sit with you, as well as reporting back to the business on a weekly basis. You will drive Garmin’s coverage in the specialist press and foster existing relationships to increase share of voice across key print, digital and broadcast media, and will manage day to day reporting and tracking to review press office effectiveness.
You will support the PR & Events Manager in ideating and driving specialist campaigns, and support on wider PR strategy and decision making, and will also support with furthering Garmin’s ambassador and partner PR executions.
Your role will also see you managing and executing exciting key brand events, supporting in-person at these events and reporting back to the PR & Events Manager and business on results.
**About You**
You must have experience in a similar role in a similar business sector. With a relevant degree or equivalent experience, you must be a confident communicator and presenter with strong verbal and written communication skills, organisational and time management skills, and have a thorough understanding of media needs and possess existing media relationships, ideally in the fitness, automotive, marine, or outdoor categories. You should also be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with good attention to detail, resilience and positive attitude to colleagues and customers.
