An opportunity to work in a forward facing role engaging with members of public as a Station Clerk.

This position will be based at Lowestoft and will involve tasks ranging from general enquiries from the public to dealing with releasing seized vehicles that have previously had no insurance. Working as part of a dynamic team you would be required to be flexible in your approach with good inter personal skills. As you will see from the role profile there are several platforms you will be required to be competent on for which training will be provided.

**It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria**:

- Proven experience of working in a customer service environment
- Proven ability to maintain records accurately, following set procedures
- Proven ability to organise workload, prioritising as necessary
- Demonstrate proven ability to work proactively using initiative and making appropriate decisions.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrate experience of IT skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- The ability to travel to other locations within Suffolk as necessitated by the exigencies of the service.

**It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria**:

- Geographical knowledge of Suffolk
- Previous experience of working in a Police environment.

Hours are offered as 37 hours per week, on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Pay: £29,649.00-£33,264.00 per year
