Hales Group are seeking an Interim Housing Project Manager to provide project management to a range of housing property projects to occupied domestic dwellings.

This is predominantly a field-based role co-ordinating and controlling contractors undertaking programmes of work. You will be responsible for effective contract management of a range of works programmes which includes planned fire safety works.

To support the Interim consultants for Compliance and Building Safety, and the Housing Maintenance Manager to deliver the identified programme of safety remedial works, and to ensure the delivery of programmes and projects is compliant with procedures, legaland regulatory requirements.

Principle Responsibilities - Interim Housing Project Manager;
- To lead and drive forward delivery of housing projects. Ensure the works are delivered to the agreed specifications, contracts, timescales, safety standards, and quality standards.
- Management of project delivery through 3rd party contractors and direct labour operation.
- To develop and maintain schedules of work and specifications, surveys, drawings and all other contractual documents for the effective delivery of a wide range of works programmes such as building regulation approvals, arranging asbestos surveys.
- To work with Clerk of Works and Contract Managers to oversee works through to satisfactory completion.
- Use professional project management approaches including definition of scope and deliverables, milestones and project plans; co-ordination of resources working on the project; escalating issues and reporting on progress.
- To ensure that any risks or issues associated with programmes and projects are identified, managed, and highlighted in a timely manner to relevant officers
- Liaison and coordination with residents and Housing Officers. Deliver excellent customer service to Tenants and colleagues.
- Ensure that all Health & Safety Legislation is complied with, including but not limited to CDM compliance.
- Contract managing multiple programmes of work.
- Experience of The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, Client duties in relation to managing projects
- Current knowledge of UK building and safety legislation relating to dwellings.
- Contract administration using JCT or similar forms of building contracts.
- Fire/Asbestos/ Water/Gas safety experience.
- Commercially astute
- Solid understanding of building practices, building performance and safety
- Good people management skills, including the ability to motivate a team to perform to their optimum ability

HOURS: 37 hours Monday to Friday

DURATION: 6 months minimum term

LOCATION: various sites across East Suffolk

PAY RATE: Variable depending on experience
