**Peer Support Worker - Luton Ref**:451** Salary**: £4,446.00 per annum, Actual (£18,278.00 FTE) **Hours**: 9 hours per week **Contract**: Permanent **Location**: Luton **Service Delivery** - Facilitate Peer Support groups and ensure outcomes which support individuals with mental health and wellbeing needs across Luton in line with the charity's agreed Peer Support model and requirements as well as contract requirements. - To support the Luton Wellbeing Service Manager by assessing client’s suitability for attending the Peer Support service when required. - Work closely with the Luton Wellbeing Service Manager to support clients to access other services within the charity. - Signpost individuals to wider services and encourage and support people to access local activities and community services. - Encourage and support client engagement with the charity through Guarantor Membership, and training opportunities. - Contribute to maintaining an effective volunteer workforce for the service in line with the charity's HR policies, procedures and guidance (workload planning and support). - Mentor identified individuals to achieve a defined goal across the four localities and ensure outcomes which supports individuals with mental health and wellbeing needs in Luton in line with the charity’s agreed Mentoring model and requirements as wellas contract requirements. - Work closely with Luton Wellbeing Service Manager to ensure that their wellbeing services meet the needs of Luton’s diverse community. - Carry out health and safety responsibilities as directed by the Luton Wellbeing Service Manager in line with the charity’s H&S policies, procedures and guidance (risk assessments, reviews, reporting, safeguarding, incidents/accidents, premises). - Carry out cash handling responsibilities as directed by the Luton Wellbeing Service Manager in line with the charity’s financial policies, procedures and guidance (records, petty cash income and expenditure. - Carry out responsibilities as directed by the Luton Wellbeing Service Manager for the collection, updating, monitoring and reporting of service data in line with the charity’s contract and systems requirements and procedures. **Closing date: 5pm on Tuesday 8th March (or until filled)** **APPLICATION PROCESS**: Our client has been annually assessed and approved as a Disability Confident Employer (previously "Two Ticks") and has been committed to the Mindful Employer charter since 2008.
