We’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join the team, applicants must have a very high level of attention to detail, be able to work in a methodical fashion, use their own initiative and work independently or in a team when required.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair and will be tasked with collecting stock vehicles and appraising them upon collection.

**Vehicle Technician general duties to include**:

- Vehicle Inspections
- Collection of vehicles
- Appraising potential stock vehicles
- General driving duties
- General Servicing
- Correction / repair of vehicle defects
- MOT Preparation / presentation
- Completion of all required paperwork
- Conducting full examinations of vehicles
- Identify non-routine defects and faults either in the workshop or during vehicle road tests
- Undertake timely repair and servicing of customer vehicles in accordance with technical standards
- Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, and efficient service to all colleagues and workshop customers
- Work closely with the rest of the team, ensuring they are kept informed of the progress on all vehicles and are fully briefed on work completed
- Discuss technical issues/works directly with management & customers when requested
- Work with the wider workshop team to design and implement new methods of work to improve efficiency

**Key Skills & Experience Required**:

- A confident driver with a full UK driving license
- You will need to be an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
- Must hold relevant formal qualification (NVQ Level 3 / IMI / City & Guilds)
- Ability to work within defined processes and guidelines, and to promote best practice throughout the workshop
- Be customer focused, possess good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience
- Have a passion for the industry and a desire to succeed
- Good communication skills with management and the team
- A meticulous eye for detail, going above and beyond the call of duty
- Ability to work under pressure for meeting deadlines
- A keen interest in cars alongside knowledge of brands and models
- Must be presentable and articulate
