Position: Payroll Compliance Specialist

Location: Greenbank, Bristol

Working pattern: Hybrid (1-2 times a fortnight in the office)

Role: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: 22.5 hours, Monday to Thursday

Mitie have a new opportunity for an experienced Payroll specialist to joining their team in Bristol on a part time basis

This role will support the business by ensuring that all of the Payroll Compliance services provided by the offshore team are fit for purpose and meet business requirements.

Main duties
- Delivery of any retained Compliance and Pensions Administration service activities,
- Deal with escalations from the Offshore team in complex cases
- Manage all Pensions related administration
- Overseeing Benefits administration
- Overseeing P11D processing
- Reconciliation and resolution of historic PAYE schemes
- Overseeing HMRC reconciliations
- Checking correct allocation of HMRC payments
- Investigating any payroll data compliance failures and liaising with offshore team to resolve
- Management of offshore payrolls, including payment arrangements
- Overseeing and managing any audits from 3rd parties, instructing the offshore provider to collate documentation, but reviewing and signing off prior to release
- Act as the point of contact for the offshore partner to support with escalations or queries
- Support any Compliance projects using the offshore team to support delivery
- Audit the work of the offshore team and track performance
- Act as a point of escalation for the offshore teams for Compliance processes

Personal Skills Specification
- Strong knowledge of Payroll Compliance disciplines and SME experience (preferred)
- Stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised and excellent timekeeping
- A self-starter with a drive to identify and implement process improvements
- Excellent customer service focus
- Experience of working with outsourced service provisions (preferred)
- Ability to use payroll related and Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
