We are looking to recruit a Substance Misuse Nurse to join a nationally recognised Community Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Service in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for an RMN with a passion for Substance Misuse treatment, and this particular role willsuit those looking for a fantastic work-life balance.
You will be joining an established and experienced team who work to provide a high level of attention to all patients in their care. The role focuses on providing frontline clinical care to service users, including a thorough rehabilitation process. It is preferablethat you have experience in the following:
- Vaccinations including BBV screening, Hep B/C screening
- ECG's
- Alcohol and opiate detoxification
- Health Promotion and Rehabilitation
Although all of the above can be trained in house, we are looking for someone with significant mental health nursing experience for this particular role.
The ideal RMN - Substance Misuse Nurse will possess the following:
- RMN qualified with active NMC pin
- Demonstrable experience or an interest in addictions
- Significant experience working with mental health clients
- Titration experience is highly desirable
- We would like to hear from Nurses who come from a background of Hospital, Prisons, or community nursing (mental health)
It is not essential that you have experience within addictions, but you must be able to demonstrate your interest in the field of Nursing and show how you have worked to gain experience, transferable skills and how you have come to be interested in Drug andAlcohol Recovery Services.
The benefits for this RMN - Substance Misuse Nurse role include:
- Starting salary £33,000 - £39,000 - negotiable on experience
- Work-life balance working mainly Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 - some expectation to cover some evening and weekend work on occasion.
