The food and beverage Supervisor will assist Restaurant Manager in the efficient running of the Brasserie Restaurant and James Braid Bar to continually excel in the areas of budgetary control and guest satisfaction. Providing service of the highest standard, to supervise all members of staff and to maintain a happy and focused Restaurant & Bar team.

**Essential Functions**:

- Attend weekly operations meetings and daily brief to all relevant information.
- Enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Deal with any issues that may arise to minimise guest complaints.
- Upsell at every opportunity to maximise profitability.
- Check the arrivals sheet and handover for any relevant information, take part in detailed supervisor handover.
- Be responsible for security and safe handling of all equipment used within the department.
- Coach, guide and train all new and current members of staff to enable them to successfully contribute to the team objectives and complete CNHT.
- Ensure that the associates are adhering to appearance standards.
- Listen to grievances and difficulties from associates within the department so as to help or advise them.
- Oversee the smooth running of the restaurant & bar before, during and after service periods and allocate daily jobs as required.
- Have a sound working knowledge of the menu and wine list to assist the guest in their choice from the menu.
- Train staff as required to maintain service standards and ensure they complete any further mandatory training.
- Be responsible for departmental pay-ins, that all items are charged for correctly and that all items taken are charged for.
- To be aware of financial targets and to ensure that all costs are controlled to a minimum.
- Complete performance reviews as required.
- Carry out other duties as required.

**Salary**: £24,570.00 per year
