A growing finance company that operates in the consumer finance sector is looking for a Head of Sales in Manchester. Along with a salary of up to £63,000 per annum, you will also receive a bonus (OTE c£80,000), a pension scheme and other benefits.
Your role will be to set up a new department in this already successful business to lead, develop and implement a strategy to create and convert enquiries from existing and new customers into incremental direct finance cases for the business.
**What you’ll do as Head of Sales**:

- Lead and direct the team to deliver ambitious goals through effective coaching and development.
- Uphold the values and principles of the company culture, treating customers fairly and ensuring good customer outcomes determine decision-making, and appropriate products and services are presented.
- Effectively create, manage, and drive change to continually improve customer service levels and efficiency across the department.
- Work closely with the board to regularly forecast business volumes, set targets and create pay plans.
- Achieve targets, KPIs and QA standards.
- Work closely with the compliance team to ensure all processes and risks are controlled, robust and within regulatory standards.
- Keep track of the marketplace, trends, and competitors in order to react to new revenue opportunities.
- Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with partners.
- Manage and coach the team’s performance, set objectives, tackle under-performance, and hold monthly review meetings.
- Implement a plan to attract and retain a team of self-motivated high-performing salespeople.

**We are looking for a Head of Sales who has the following skills and experience**:

- Experience in a similar role, developing and growing a team of employed direct salespeople who will drive revenue through telephone conversations with customers.
- Experience developing a sales culture within your team, putting customers’ needs first. You will be used to setting challenging yet achievable targets whilst reaping and sharing the rewards.
- You should be familiar with both GDPR and FCA regulations.
- Experience of delivering in a high-paced sales unit and fostering a high-performance team culture.
- The ability to analyst data to understand trends and see opportunities and emerging risks.
