We are seeking a **Kitchen Stores Person / Porter** to work within our Kitchen team at Old Thorns Hotel & Resort.

The position will involve ensuring that the daily food supplies are stored correctly and rotated according to end date. You will also assist in the kitchens to ensure the kitchens and equipment are kept clean to our standards.

Live in accommodation is available if required. You will receive share of restaurant tips each month.

Old Thorns is a four-star resort in Hampshire. The hotel is easily accessible from the A3, and within easy reach from Guildford and Portsmouth. Old Thorns offers accommodation, conference & function facilities, health club, spa, restaurants & bars, and a championship golf course.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Ensuring daily food supplies are stored correctly and put away in a timely manner
- To ensure stock is rotated according to use by date
- To ensure stock rooms are kept clean and tidy
- Ensuring that all kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned to the highest of standards
- To maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety
- To ensure that equipment is stored correctly, allocated to correct areas and that any breakages are reported
- To assist the kitchen and food service staff in the fetching and carrying of food and equipment
- To ensure that the correct cleaning procedures are followed

**Knowledge, skills & experience required**:

- Previous experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given
- Organised and can work well under pressure
- Works well within a team
