We are now looking for experienced Early Years Practitioners to join our friendly and professional team as bank staff.

Applicants will need experience of working with children aged 0-5. You will have experience and knowledge of how to support each individual child's learning and development.

Main Duties:
Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery
Give support to other team members throughout the nursery
Work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop
Applicants must have a minimum level 2 qualification in Childcare and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent.
Operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area following the Early Years Foundation Stage and Development Matters
To keep records of your key children’s development and learning journeys and share this with parents, carers and other key adults in the child’s life
Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
Liaise with and support parents and other family members
To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parent evening, fundraising events etc.
Be flexible, the position requires the staff member to work when required. The centre is open from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday term time only and flexibility is required between these times.

**Qualifications**:
Essential:
A satisfactory enhanced DBS check which confirms suitability to work with children.

Desirable:
Level 3 or above qualification
Relevant Safegurading, food hygiene and health & safety qualifications

Experience and Attributes

Essential:
Experience of working with young children
An understanding of child development and of children’s needs
Effective spoken and written language and communication skills
A positive approach to behaviour management
Ability to work with parents and to encourage their involvement
Honest and reliable with proven time management skills
Commitment to team working and professional development
Demonstrates stability and commitment in previous roles
Achievement orientated with an ability to use own initiative
Ability to write clear reports

Desirable:
Proven ability to build and lead a team successfully
Wider Childcare experience
SEN experience
