- **Location**:Manchester, UKThe Head of Finance will be a strategic thought-partner and will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, high quality and professional financial management and control service to support both the Company's existing operations as well as its strategy for continued growth going forwards.
- **Main duties / Responsibilities**
- Analyse and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements in a UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS format; collate financial reporting materials for all segments, and oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting
- Timely and accurate reporting to head office
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors; assess any changes necessary
- Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the Board of Directors and Head of site; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes; and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status
- Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting
- Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/ reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements.
- Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to Board of Directors and Head Office
- Project & cost controlling
- Responsible for all finance related tasks/topics for Manchester
- Ensure continued professional development of the Finance Team
- Develop and embed a culture of continuous improvement within the Finance team and its processes; crossing over to support other departments as needed

**Requirements**:

- CIMA or ACCA professional accountancy qualification
- A track record IFRS reporting
- Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; knowledge of accounting and reporting softwar
- Strong experience in UK GAAP (FRS 102) and/or IFRS and is familiar ideally with Axapta/IBM Cognos Controller/SAPor with other ERP systems/consolidation tool
- At least seven to 10 years of overall professional experience; ideally five-plus years of broad financial and operations management experience
- The business need someone with all around strong financial and commercial capabilities, whilst not detaching themselves from the day to day operation of the finance functions
