** **About Us** ***About the role** The Product Manager - Ecommerce role within Ocado Technology is responsible for understanding the needs of our Ecommerce software engineers to create an environment where shipping code is the fastest, safest and most effective way to learn, test new ideas and deliver value. You will partner with both Engineering and Technology to provide clarity of business requirements for your product, acting as a bridge between the technical and business worlds and the key 'go-to' person within the Ecommerce product area. At Ocado Technology we expect our Product Managers to demonstrate the following attributes: ***Lead in Product** - Lead others in your Product team to develop the product vision and strategy aligned to the cluster or departmental goals for your Product area - Be the voice of your product internally and externally, and communicate regularly with stakeholders on roadmap planning, product strategy and outcomes - Manage the launch of new capabilities end-to-end for your product and work closely with project and delivery teams to ensure product delivery is well executed for the end customer ***Drive Customer & Commercial Value** - Build a holistic view of the measures that contribute to the success of your product and collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to determine and understand appropriate metrics - Identify the relative value of product opportunities and balance customer needs with product health - Make strategic calls for your products and understand the trade offs between time to market, scope and overall risk profile ***Master your Domain; Shape its Future** - Create empathy with users and stakeholders and collaborate with UX, Data and Engineering to better understand user needs, desired outcomes, and pain points - Understand your product domain and how it fits into the wider platform, and use this knowledge to lead product discovery and ideation by identifying, facilitating and researching opportunities - Lead discovery by bringing the right people together to achieve the desired outcome with the best solutions, with a clear focus of asking "why" before "what" or "how". ***Elevate Product Mindset** - Display a product mindset by demonstrating curiosity, problem-solving, communication skills and empathy. This position is based at our office in Hatfield, travel may be required. We're also happy to talk flexible working with you ***About you** - Demonstrable Product Management experience (ideally with a technical/engineering background) - Understanding/experience of how software products are developed, built, tested and deployed - Knowledge and experience of working with multiple functional areas, including Project Management, Engineering, UX/UI - Strong experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels across functions - Able to work autonomously and handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment - Experience defining product roadmaps, building collaboratively with design and engineering peers, and shipping value-driven products at scale - Able to engage confidently in technical conversations with engineering teams - Proven ability to plan, manage, track and deliver on commitments - Experience capturing and communicating requirements to support product realisation ***What do I get in return** ***We're in it together, we are proud of what we do, we can be even better** **Location** View location here **About Ocado Group** When our journey started, we were all about changing the way people shop for groceries. 20 years later, we're developing our own ground breaking technology, opening multiple sites at an accelerating rate and engaging in exciting new business partnerships around the world Transforming an industry also means transforming the way we do business.
